Malaysia Book Records received a new entry when the Magnificent 7 Team, established by the Recreational Council of Malaysia (MRM) successfully completed the 200km Kayak Expedition on 15th November 2017.
Members of the Magnificent 7, led by Mohd Haniff Muhammad Zain, includes Hasnida Hanim Ahmad Kamil, Rosliza Saad, Wan Zulhamli Wan Abdul Rahman, Izwan Md Sumairi, Shamsudduha Junaidi and Ahmad Iqbal Khairi Ismail completed their 4 months training and preparation before heading off to Cairo for the expedition.
The training includes not just the physical preparation of handling the kayak and water challenges, but also covers the mental, team work as well as survival aspects. The team anticipated the toughest scenarios and was not disappointed with what Nile River had to offer.
At a ceremony at the Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) , MBR representative handed over the certificate to coach Muhammad Nur Azrul Che Zabani in the presence of press secretary to the Prime Minister, Datuk Akmar Hisham Mokhles as soon as the team arrived at airport here.
Hutan Ration Powerfood is one of the supporting organization for the Magnificent 7 team, providing the team the nutritional and supplement needs during the event. The energy bars, made from all natural ingredients was used as meal replacement as well as snacks during the kayaking event as well as recovery post activity meal.
Hutan Ration is always in support of these events where local talents utilized the opportunity to showcase their capabilities to the world. And it is with these events the Magnificent Seven latest adventure made it to the Malaysia Book of Records. The Malaysia Book of Records of more known as MBR is an official body that recognises recordholders, recordbreakers and recordcreators in the country. Upon confirmation of their feats, achievements and creations, MBR issues certificates to them.
Nile River, among the longest river, flowing as far as 6,650km, crossing 9 countries from Ethiopia to Egypt gave the team one of the greatest challenge with the extreme day and night weather.
This is not the first time the Recreational Council of Malaysia (MRM) organized such event. Earlier ‘Kayuhan Altitude Tertinggi Annapurna Circuit’ as well First Duo to Cycle Across Sahara Dessert was scuccesfully organized by MRM.
When asked what would the next adventure be for the Magnificent 7, we were told to look out for 2018, and it would involve the extreme Antarctica. Whatever it may be, we wish the team as well as MRM all the best.
